The MPFL is nearing the end of a great season, but you wouldn’t know by the energy and effort both teams played with on Thursday. Finn Canally led his hometown Philadelphia Eagles to a 21-14 win over captain Jake Scoble and the Madden Elites in dramatic fashion with a goal-line stand as the clock hit zero. Ethan Nienhuis who is coming off a game ball from last week, played like he deserved another one, and he got it. This local star was making plays all over the field, on both sides of the ball, including 5 big tackles, two interceptions, one of them he took to the house. On the other side of the ball, Tristan Loder did everything he could to get the Madden Elites over the hump, but they just fell a little short. Sean Thorell also had a good game for the Madden Elites with a TD pass to Tristan. Jack Forti had a nice TD pass to Max Endriss who celebrated with his token move, the worm! Players from both teams showed great effort and sportsmanship: (Liam Ambrose, Jack Krzywicki, Jacob Scoble, Matthew Lee, James Lee, Jackson Stanley, Jake Donovan, Bobby Mullen, Max Endriss and Jack Forti).
