The MPFL produced another exciting game in week 16. Jack Forti led the Steagles(Steelers and Eagles during the merger in 1943, yes, they picked that team) against Sean Thorell and the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, the game ended in a tie as time expired, before one team could separate themself, but both teams played their hearts out. Ethan Nienhuis had a huge game for KC with a TD on a kick return as well as a TD catch from captain Sean Thorell. Ethan also made some great plays on the defensive side of the ball, earning him this week’s game ball. Jack Krzywicki and Finn Canally each had huge games for the Steagles. Jack had two TD catches and a TD pass. Finn had a TD catch and pass as well as some big defensive plays. Max Endriss had a huge interception for KC and a great catch and run as well. James Lee and Bobby Mullen had strong games for the Steagles each with a few big first down catches. Jack Forti had a TD pass and showed great sportsmanship throughout the game. Players from both teams showed great effort and sportsmanship: (Liam Ambrose, Jacob Scoble, Matthew Lee, Sean Thorell).
